RTDI is a pioneering research and development institution leveraging blockchain technology, zero waste operations, and regenerative agriculture to transform agricultural waste from indigenous grain crops into high-quality textile yarn. Based at Pwani University, Kilifi, Kenya, RTDI is designed as a research, training, and incubation hub aligned with global sustainability goals and the advancement of circular textile economies in Africa.

Our Purpose
The primary purpose of the Regenerative Textile Development Institute (RTDI) is to discover, test, and process agricultural stem waste into high-quality yarn that meets and exceeds the highest international standards for commercialization.
